Shannon Austin
Shannon Austin currently holds the position as District Administrator with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)/Bureau of Blindness & Visual Services(BBVS) that serves nine counties within Southwestern Pennsylvania. She holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and Bachelors’ of Science in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership and Behavioral & Social Sciences. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Workforce Development Professional and Global Career Development Facilitator. She is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring complex vocational rehabilitation programs in: Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Independence Living for Older Blind (ILOB), and Specialized Services Child (SSC). She has championed numerous public/private collaborative projects and has always been committed to creating and maintaining effective working relationships with employers, community partners and professional organizations.
