Michael Yogman MD

Dr. Yogman is a pediatrician in practice in Cambridge, MA and Chief of the Division of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Mt Auburn Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics part time at Harvard Medical School and Chair of the National American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Psychosocial Aspects of Child and Family Health, authoring policy statements on fathers role with children, perinatal depression, the power of play, trauma, toxic stress and resilience. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1973 and was one of the first pediatricians to be board certified in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. He has edited several books including In Support of Families, Affective Development, and the series, Theory and Research in Behavioral Pediatrics. He has received many awards including the Richmond/Coleman award in 2017 for outstanding contributions to the field of child development and behavior.
