Nicale
Nicale is a 19-year old who suffered such horrific trauma that her mind created personalities to hold the physical and emotional pain. At four years old her life began as a thief, a prostitute, a beating post for her stepfather and a caretaker of her little sister. Tragically, her mother made these choices for her. Mom’s idea of providing a home was living in the woods, in a run-down apartment or in a car located in Red Light Districts where gangs, drugs, violence and human sex trafficking were a way of life. Nicale was consistently abandoned, abused and sold to satisfy other people’s addictions. The alters were her saving grace until three years ago when her father and stepmom were able to remover her from that tragic lifestyle. Now she is safe- she has a real home- a real family. Just as Nicale has to learn to trust, so do the alters. They are working together to become one.
