Nancy B. Roof
Nancy B. Roof, Ph.D., is founder and editor-in-chief of the integral global journal Kosmos, nominated for excellence by Utne Independent Press Awards. Kosmos brings leading edge ideas to the United Nations, NGOs and the global community. Its mission is to create a sustainable, compassionate and emerging global civilization through individual, cultural, and systems transformation at all levels of body, mind, and spirit. Kosmos is a founding partner of Creating the New Civilization, a global initiative launched in 2005 by Goi Peace Foundation with five other global partners. Nancy has consulted for ECOSOC at the UN since 1988 and lobbied for global values, lifelong learning and spirituality in UN Conferences that set global standards. She co-founded the Values Caucus in 1994 and the Spiritual Caucus in 2000 to bring contemplation into UN discussions. She was a key speaker to 184 governments at the World Summit for Social Development in 1995 on the importance of values in global policy.
