Shandy Welch
Over the last 20 years Shandy Welch has worked as a nurse practitioner in an effort to create teams and deliver clinical care that far exceeds the industry norm and pushes perceived limits. Her work as a clinician, administrator, and most recently a patient, has catapulted her vision and enthusiasm for helping others recognize how their perspective can change their cancer experience. Through the lens of a patient and the eyes of a caregiver, Shandy tells the story of how an unexpected cancer diagnosis brought a lesson of trust, strength, love, and clarity. Shandy founded Fresh Eyes, a coaching and speaking platform, for which she is able to connect with other providers and patients to elevate the healthcare experience, teaching us that we each have the opportunity to alter the journey of cancer.
