Dr. Marie Kaye, PhD

E.M.Kaye, PhD is a baby boomer, grandmother, teacher, life-long learner, and passionate advocate for the prevention of Alzheimer’s. Kaye completed her Ph.D. in her late 60s and has started on a new educational path, which began at Harvard, focused on applied neuroscience and brain optimization through lifestyle modification. At age seventy she became the oldest person to ever compete in the USA Memory Championship and earn the title of mental athlete! She undertook this personal challenge to show that age is not a barrier to better brain performance or to the achievement of new challenges. Taken from her personal brain training journal, A Brain First Life describes the five simple but powerful neuroscience-based lifestyle strategies that rejuvenated her brain and memory and brought unexpected success to other aspects of her life. She recently founded The Brain First Project designed to use applied neuroscience research to optimize cognitive function and delay premature brain aging.
