Dr. Axel Uhl
Dr. Axel Uhl, Chief Development Architect, eXperience SAP Innovation Hub, joined SAP in 2004 after having worked in other large and small IT companies since 1995. With an original focus on Software Engineering, Model-Driven Software Development and Development Tool Construction, for a few years Axel was part of a central architecture group at SAP called “XUPA” (Cross-Unit Product Architecture). Spending time on sailing yachts in his spare time, Axel decided to engage with the SAP Sailing Analytics in 2011 which took him into marketing. Since then, he is leading development and operations for what is known as sapsailing.com. Axel’s background is Computer Science where he graduated from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) back in 1995 and later earned a PhD from RWTH Aachen.
