Rasmus Køstner
Rasmus Køstner’s passion for sailing was ignited when he started sailing Optimist. Rasmus soon became a member of the Danish National Sailing Team, winning several youth National Championships. Kostner joined forces with Jes Gram-Hansen and sailed to the top of the ISAF World Match Racing rankings. A pivotal point in Rasmus’s career was teaming up with multiple AC winner, Russell Coutts, on the Match Race and RC44 circuit. After an impressive stint with Russell Coutts, Rasmus joined the Italian Team Mascalzone Latino Capitalia,challenger for the 32nd America’s Cup. In 2008, Rasmus went from the AC to join the Ericsson Racing team, as in-port tactician in Volvo Ocean Race. With long term sailing partner Jes Gram-Hansen, Kostner then turned his focus to Extreme 40 multihulls, with the intent to master and win the Extreme Sailing Series.
