Clarke Smith
Family Practice, Anaheim, CA, 1964 to present. Founder and Medical Director, Garden Park Medical Clinic, Inc., 1974 to 2003. Served in United States Navy in Viet Nam as Battalion Surgeon and Regimental Surgeon with U.S. Marine Corps 1966-67. Honored with Vietnamese Gallantry Cross for medical care rendered under hostile enemy fire. Attained rank of Lieutenant Commander and served as Commanding Officer, Outpatient Dependents Clinic, U.S. Marine Air Station, El Toro, CA 1967-68. Remained in Inactive Naval Reserves until Honorable Discharge, 1975. Named Orange County Academy of Family Physicians “Physician of the Year, “ 2004. Recipient, California Medical Association’s Solo and Small Group “Golden Dinosaur” Award as Solo Physician of the Year, 2005.
