Alex Pattakos

Alex Pattakos, Ph.D., affectionately nicknamed “Dr. Meaning,” is a modern-day Greek philosopher and founder of the Global Meaning Institute, a think tank dedicated to advancing the human quest for meaning in life, work, and society. He is coauthor with Elaine Dundon of Prisoners of Our Thoughts: Viktor Frankl’s Principles for Discovering Meaning in Life and Work, based on the wisdom of the world-renowned psychiatrist, Viktor E. Frankl, M.D., Ph.D., who personally urged Dr. Pattakos to write it. Pattakos and Dundon are also the coauthors of The OPA! Way: Finding Joy & Meaning in Everyday Life & Work, that is uniquely inspired by Greek philosophy, mythology, and culture.
