Maria Solanki
Maria Solanki, mother and founding board member to KING Charter Schools, has years over 15 years working with children around the world and in various conditions. She started KING Charter Schools after searching for a school for her own toddler at the time, and and being really disappointed with the options. Having spent years working full time as a volunteer in India slums and orphanages, she knew that if she was going to volunteer her time and energy full time again, it would have to be a greater cause that would continue to expand and self sustain for children, the environment and the animals. A light went off when she learned the charter school model. She strongly believes that children are the future and where all our attention and focus should be if we will truly make a change.
