Gaston Meskens Silke Van Cleuvenbergen

Gaston and Silke are co-founders of New Humanism.org in Europe. Gaston was originally trained in theoretical physics and nuclear physics and now works as a philosophical activist and artist. His lectures on ethics in relation to science and technology and work on capacity building bring him to places all over the world. His philosophical work and art work starts from critical analysis but essentially looks at new methods and social forms of co-existence, aiming to stimulate and use the social intelligence, ethical sense and creativity that is present in all of us. Silke has studied art sciences, specializing in theatre and media with a minor degree also in literature. Her personal passion brought her to the field of contemporary visual art, primarily the human dimension within the arts. Within the educational field and with emphasis on children and youth, over the past ten years she promoted art mediation, education, community building, talent development, and innovation processes.
