Sin “Shin Ae” Kook
Communications and Outreach Manager – Veterans Services, CSUSM Sin is an 11-year United States Marine Corps veteran. She started out as a truck driver with two Iraq deployments and transitioned into a public affairs officer through the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program. She attended California State University San Marcos and was active in the athletics department.She was part of the Women’s Cross Country team that won the National Championship. After her discharge as a Capt. in the Marine Corps she worked at an nonprofit, Easter Seals Veteran Staffing Network. She help transitioning military service members, veterans and their families to find a career through her career coaching. She moved to Korea and taught English to the middle school students. She is currently works in Veterans Services as their Communications and Outreach Manager and also does that same job for Veterans to Energy Careers (VTEC).
