Janni Lehrer-Stein
Janni Lehrer-Stein is a retired attorney and national disability rights advocate. She was appointed by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate to two terms on the National Council on Disability, the agency that advises the President, Congress and the nation on disability policy issues of national impact. Janni served as a Senior Disability Policy Advisor for the Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign, chaired the Disability Policy committee for the Gavin NEwsom gubernatorial campaign in 2018 and is engaged in the 2020 Presidential election cycle as campaign policy advisor. Janni serves as Vice Chair, Finance for the DNC Disability Council and was appointed to the DNC Convention Rules committee for the 2020 convention. She serves on the National Academies of Science Forum on Aging and Disability, and as a member of the Board of Foundation Fighting Blindness and American Foundation of the Blind.
