Samantha Shad was a member of the bar in three states and a practicing entertainment attorney in Beverly Hills before she turned her attention to screenwriting. She wrote twenty feature film scripts for the major Hollywood studies, including Class Action (Twentieth Century Fox), as well as feature length and episodic television for each of the major television networks, including the long form movie Vanished Without A Trace (NBC-Universal). She was Chair of the Writers Guild of American, West Women's Committee and President of the Writers Guild-Directors Guild of America Foundation for Woman Filmmakers. She is the author of "The Write To Happiness: How to Write Stories That Change Your Brain and Your Life," and, most recently, "Write Through the Crisis: How to Make Good Use of Bad Times”. She has previously taught advanced writing and media law at UCLA, The American Film Institute and Pierce College. https://samanthashad.com
