Dallas Chisholm
Dallas Chisolm, 13, in Silver Spring, Md., attends Sandy Spring Friends School, where he plays basketball, runs cross country and is on the golf team. His great aunt, Margaret Sullivan, inspired him to speak up and say something about things he disagrees with. Another inspiring figure in his life was former Congressman and civil rights leader, the late John Lewis, who he wants to be like. Since the age of 10, he has participated in such protest marches as the 2018 March for our Lives: Student Gun Violence Protest, the 2019 Global Climate Strike and the 2929 Black Lives Matter Movement. Dallas looks forward to becoming a journalist who gives “straight facts.”
