Jaia Thomas
Jaia Thomas is a Los Angeles-based sports and entertainment attorney, who represents film producers, television writers and various industry talent, and assists professional athletes in brand protection & production company formation. A legal expert quoted in publications such as The New York Times & USA Today, Jaia has been a panelist/speaker for LA County Bar Assn, Beverly Hills Bar Assn & sports and entertainment law conferences. She’s currently a UCLA adjunct professor and has guest lectured at Stanford & Georgetown Law Schools. A Forbes contributor, writing about the intersection of diversity and the entertainment industry, Jaia recently launched www.diverserepresentation.com, a platform aimed at increasing exposure and hiring of Black agents, attorneys, managers and publicists in sports and entertainment. A native of Cincinnati, OH, she earned a BA/Colgate Univ., JD/The George Washington Univ. Law School & holds a Certificate in Television, Film and New Media Production/UCLA.
