Roni Capin-Rivera was born to a pioneering Jewish family, she grew up in Nogales, Arizona, on the U.S. - Mexico border. Roni's great-grandparents came to the U.S. as immigrants from across the ocean: France, Poland, Romania and Russia. is an accomplished international bilingual award-winning Author. Her stories come from her childhood days growing up in the Sonoran Desert, in a bilingual, multicultural world, where she still lives and writes. Roni has spoken Spanish and English from birth and sometimes dreams in Spanish, too. She was a bilingual pre-school and elementary teacher and translator/interpreter for nearly 30 years. As an educator for more than 35 years and a presenter for nearly 15 years, Roni has shared with audiences of all ages. She has presented to toddlers through senior citizens - students, educators, librarians, parents and community members around her home state of Arizona and across the country, all the way to Montevideo, Uruguay, South America.
