Meryl Shaw

Meryl Shaw uses her four decades in professional theater and her coaching skills to help successful professionals shine in high-stakes presentations. Meryl was Casting Director at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco for 17 years, and has taught audition technique and led performance workshops for more than 25 years. She has taught or guest lectured at several universities, including A.C.T., Rutgers, Boston University, Spelman College, and Carnegie-Mellon, as well as at numerous theater companies. Prior to casting, Meryl served as Resident Stage Manager at Berkeley Repertory Theater for twelve years. A trained Positive Psychology coach, Meryl works one-on-one and in groups with thought leaders, attorneys, entrepreneurs, actors, and others to help them develop compelling narratives and deliver their messages more effectively to audiences. She utilizes tools from Positive Psychology to help speakers ground themselves and feel empowered to share their important messages.
