Paula Hanna
Paula Hanna, MSN, RNC-MNN, IBCLC, ICCE, has been a lactation consultant and certified childbirth educator since 2005. She began her career in 1998 working on a mother/baby unit in Dallas, Texas. She currently works as the Lactation Coordinator and Perinatal Navigator at Medical City Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas. She became a nurse to make a difference in the lives of people. She began nursing school at the age of 18 and it has not just been her job but her passion. She works to be an “experience changer” for each of her patients. She has a passion for implementing evidence-based practice (EBP) change. She recently completed two EBP projects on implementing skin-to-skin in the operating room and utilizing human donor milk for the full-term infant outside the NICU. She lives in Flower Mound, Texas with her husband and three teenage daughters. She was awarded the title of one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s Great 100 Nurses in 2017.
