Dr. Cheryl Cooper

Dr. Cooper is currently employed with T-Mobile Corporation as a Cybersecurity Engineer. She has 20 years of telecommunications and cybersecurity experience. As President of Women in Security (WinS) Mentors Inc., she advocates for women and minorities to pursue careers in cybersecurity through training and summits. Dr. Cooper brings unique experience from instructional to practical. She has spoken at many events and conferences, such as the Women in Telecom Conference following the event of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, and also speaking on lessons learned at the International Engineering Consortium, and has been invited to speak on a number of industry panels on the cybersecurity implications of COVID19. In 2019 Dr. Cooper was awarded the Central exchange Wi-STEMM Champion for being a bridge builder who casts a vision for gender equality in STEM. She holds a doctorate in Computer Science and is a Certified Information System Security Professional.
