Robert Jackson

Robert L. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C. in May 1955. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in May 1975 and completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in October 1975.Following recruit training, he reported to the 8th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Force Service Support Group, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to begin training as a combat engineer. Upon completion of his training, Jackson was assigned a military occupational specialty MOS 1371. During January 1980, Jackson reported to Recruiting Station Oklahoma City, as its public affairs NCO marketing and public affairs representative. He has served as the PressOperations Chief for the Public Affairs Office and many more roles. Jackson retired from active service as a Master Sergeant in November 1999, after serving more than 24 years in the Marine Corps. He is proud of his USMC service and DOD Civilian accomplishments at MCLB Barstow. He has a charitable heart and a love for family.
