Dr. Cliff Robertson
Dr. Cliff Robertson is the founder and executive director of The Warrior’s Refuge in West Columbia, Texas, an organization that is committed to ending homelessness by providing shelter, counseling, resources and training to the state’s veterans. After serving our nation, Dr. Robertson found himself in a Veterans Affairs sponsored homeless shelter that provided him with much-needed services to help get back on his feet. He used this experience as a launching pad to build out The Warrior’s Refuge program. At its inception the organization was given an unused nursing home to conduct its services. So far a third of the building has been renovated into a shelter that has the capacity to serve 25 residents, with the future goal of continued renovation allowing the program to serve up to 120 residents. In addition the program plans to add equine therapy, drug rehab and a detox center, basic healthcare and build a training facility for equipment operator courses.
