Ernest Garfield is President of Independent Bank Developers, LLC and Chairman of Interstate Bank Developers, Inc. He is also the founder of the Alliance of Business Banks, the Arizona Financial Institutions Task Force for Arizona Legislators, the Financial Services Advisory Council and Community Bank Advisory Council for Arizona members of Congress. He is the founder and owner of Internet businesses U.S. Criminal Records Agency, Criminal Tracker Alert, E-mail Pony Express, Justice Depot Foundation, Inc., and Alliance OutReach. The Phoenix Business Journal recognized him as one of the most influential Arizona business leaders of 2007.. In 2009, Garfield received the Sir CV Raman Award for Outstanding Contribution to Science. He also received Congressional Recognition for “Leadership and Dedication to Promoting Commerce Between the U.S. and Asian Markets.” He served as chair of Global Venture Funding, US-Asia Business Expo.As the State Treasurer of Arizona from 1970 to 1974 he helped reform investment law in the State of Arizona. His efforts made it possible for the State to earn more interest income during his tenure than had been earned by all previous state treasurers combined. As an Arizona State Senator from 1967 to 1968 he was Vice Chairman of the Senate Education Committee.
