Patrick Sheilds
Patrick Sheilds is the General Manager of the West Basin Municipal Water District. He brings to West Basin more than 25 years of executive experience in the water industry in both public and private sectors. He has negotiated a number of key recycled water customer agreements that focus on quality, quantity and reliability. He is also focused on regional water supply reliability and West Basin’s role, along with other local jurisdictions, to ensure safe reliable water for the District’s service area in the long-term. Prior to his appointment as West Basin General Manager, Sheilds served as executive director of operations at the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD), which supplies water to an estimated half-million people, and produces approximately 30 million gallons per day of recycled water.
