Margaret Dowell
Margaret Dowell is an award winning artist and art educator. Her artworks have been included in many regional and national exhibitions. She has taught in both the US public schools and higher education. In 2010 she co-edited the book, Addiction and Art (Johns Hopkins University Press) which received much attention including a Highly Commended Award (Psychiatry Category) from the British Medical Association and founded the related website www.addictionandart.org. Dowell holds both a Ph.D. (Curriculum and Instruction) and a MFA from the University of Maryland.
