Emily Rothman ScD

Dr. Emily Rothman is a Professor of Community Health Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health. She has secondary appointments at the Boston University School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Rothman has been a faculty member and researcher for the past 17 years. She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications that span the areas of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, firearm violence, and pornography. She has been awarded research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and others. She is the author of the book Pornography and Public Health, which is being published this summer by Oxford University Press.
