Elli von Planta
Elli von Planta was born in Germany in 1949. Marrying a Swiss in 1971 she moved to Basel where her four children were born. As a single mother she went to and finished Law School at the University of Basel. In extra-occupational studies she was trained as a Counselor of Psychology at the Adlerian Institute in Zurich (1996-1999) and got an MBA-Degree from the University of Zurich (2005). From 1994- to 2011 she worked at UBS Bank. There and particularly in the financial crisis 2007-2010 she became the voice of their 30’000 workers in Switzerland as the president of the Employee Representation Committee.
