Michael Weaver

Michael Weaver plays Sam, a coworker at the law firm where Gabi (Elena’s mother) works in “Diary of a Future President.” When Sam and Gabi become romantically involved, Sam finds himself thrust into the role of father to Elena and Bobby, in addition to being Gabi’s partner. Weaver previously recurred on Alan Ball’s HBO series “Here and Now” starring Bonnie Hunt and Tim Robbins, where he played a converted Muslim attempting to help “Dr. Faird Shokrani” (Peter Macdissi) with his crisis of faith. As an actor, he first rose to prominence on the big screen as “Officer Smy” in Broken Lizard’s comedy hit “Super Troopers.” He followed up with another Broken Lizard film, “Club Dread,” which lead to a role in Bill Paxton’s drama “The Greatest Game Ever Played,” in which Weaver (who happens to be an avid golfer) played the role of 1912 US Open Champion John McDermott. And more recently, he had a supporting role in the Blumhouse feature “Ouija 2.”
