Rebecca Armstrong is a freelance teacher, minister, counselor, and co-founder of Mind University. Rebecca’s parents were founding members at The Old Town School of Folk Music and Rebecca has been a student, a teacher, and a frequent performer at OTS. With her family she performed at folk festivals all over the country in the 1960s and 70s and continued to work with Chicago-area colleagues for the next four decades singing in clubs, colleges, and concert halls. From 1978 to 1990 she worked at Urban Gateways: Arts in Education agency touring thematic music programs to thousands of students in Chicagoland. In 1995 she graduated from the Unitarian seminary and began her ministry, integrating her musical knowledge into preaching and religious education. Concurrently she began working with the Joseph Campbell Foundation to support their Mythological RoundTables around the world and she found music to be a global language when she worked in Malaysia, Brazil, Ecuador, Lithuania, Germany, and Mexico.
