Margaret Welty
Margaret Welty came into this world to find a way to teach each person who wants to draw to draw. Margaret holds a BA and MA in Visual Arts from California State University Fullerton. She has taught thousands of people of all ages to draw, while teaching art for over 30 years at Folsom Lake College in northern California. As an artist, she created many large-scale commissioned artworks for public and private institutions across the United States. Margaret directed and hosted an educational cable television show called "Art Creativity and You" that broadcasted for nine years in the greater Sacramento area. Welty now hosts her own YouTube Channel, "Draw Here Now." Margaret is now in production on an online drawing and painting course that starts with the most essential ART basics: scribbling and stick figures! Teaching drawing, Margaret found that people need opportunities to pause to draw freely alone or with friends and family.
