Christal Young
Christal Young bio: Christal Young is a native of Queens, New York. The Emmy Award winning Journalist considers herself first and foremost, a Storyteller. Christal graduated from the SUNY College at Brockport and landed her first job, at WNYW Fox 5 as a Production Assistant. She worked her way through the ranks eventually becoming an Assignment Editor, then a Writer and Producer. Now as a Reporter she finds unique New York stories and enjoys documenting interesting people doing interesting things. Christal has been a fashionista all her life. When it comes to her fashion obsession her favorite line is, “If there’s a cure for this, I don’t want it!” She zeros in on cool street style for her weekly segment, "Where'd you get?” As a native New Yorker, she enjoys creating her new series of half-hour specials for Fox 5 called, Christal’s NY. They are chock full of interesting places to roam and explore in the most dynamic city in the world. Christal is also a serious foodie, who in her spare time can often be found in her kitchen whipping up a gourmet meal. Travel is another passion, so it’s not uncommon to catch her crossing the International date line.. on her way to an exotic locale. True to her fire sign, Sagittarius, she is outgoing and energetic with a class that’s always half full.
