Richard L Jones M.D. F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Jones is a Board-Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist who has been practicing for 15 years with care focused on poor and underserved urban women of color. His primary interest and focus is teen and adolescent pregnancy in urban communities, management of complex medical and high risk pregnancies in urban communities, and comprehensive access to contraception and reproductive technology for women of color. He is currently an attending physician with the University of Maryland Capital region health system in Prince Georges County, MD, where he helps to oversee the education and training of residents and medical students. He also sits on the board of directors for the AlSura Foundation in Washington DC where he coordinates reproductive education and access for poor and marginalized queer, lesbian, bisexual and trans women of color. He completed his BS degree at Duke University, his Doctor of Medicine at Howard University College of Medicine, and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
