Dr. Rodney Altemose

Dr. Rodney Altemose, Dean at Bucks County Community College, Upper Bucks Campus discusses the importance of communications and leadership in today's academic world. Dr. Altemose is a visionary leader and lifelong learner who has worked in higher education throughout his career. He earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from York College of Pennsylvania, his master’s in College Counseling from Shippensburg University, and his Doctorate in Education from Wilmington University in Leadership and Innovation. In his role Dr. Altemose is responsible for providing clear, concise communications, and leadership that continually promotes diversity, inclusion and equity on campus. His primary goal is to provide a stimulating environment with enthusiastic support and motivation to students so they can achieve their highest academic and personal success. Dr. Altemose is also a strong believer in giving back to your community and devotes much of his free time volunteering with The Trevor Project, an organization that works with LGBT youth struggling with suicide. He is active in its financial development, having raised over $25,000 this past year to help continue and fund the organization’s goals.
