Carol Novello is the founder of Mutual Rescue™ and author of the book Mutual Rescue: How Adopting a Homeless Animal Can Save You, Too. Mutual Rescue (www.MutualRescue.org) is a national initiative highlighting the connection between people and homeless animals to inspire life-saving efforts in communities around the world. Mutual Rescue’s first short film, “Eric & Peety” (launched on Valentine’s Day 2016) has been viewed more than 100 million times on social media and was named the #1 video news story from California by the NY Times in 2016. Mutual Rescue's most recent film, Kimo & Jazz, just launched in January 2022. Carol is a former software executive with a soft spot for homeless animals. She served as president of Humane Society Silicon Valley for nearly a decade. Prior to entering the field of animal welfare, she was a senior executive at Intuit, Inc. She earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from Dickinson College.
