Neil Abraham

Neil is an 11th grade student at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ). He has lived in three different countries: India, Thailand, and now South Africa. He arrived at AISJ in the 11th grade and took up Environmental Systems and Societies as a 3rd science subject. He has loved it from the first day of class because the content and the teacher influenced him to join Eco Bricks in the Roots and Shoots as part of our essential Service Learning curriculum at AISJ. Neil loved the idea of making a viable building material out of non-recyclable materials that not only remove these materials from landfills and dumps. It also helps the underprivileged build shelters that are of better quality than the more flammable materials currently being used. As for extracurricular activities, he has played the following instruments for the past 7 years: piano, electronic keyboard, and acoustic guitar that he has used for band performances in various places.
