Steve Hassinger

Mr. Hassinger is the Dean of Career Services & Development at Central Penn College. He earned his B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Penn State University. Immediately after college, he was employed as a Caseworker with Children & Youth Services in Snyder County for three years. He then spent ten years working as a Vocational Specialist for Hoover Rehabilitation Services, Inc. Just prior to coming to Central Penn College, he was a Program Director for The Arc of Dauphin & Lebanon Counties for two years. Mr. Hassinger has worked in Career Services at Central Penn College since October 2002. He also chairs the Deans’ Council, comprised of both academic and non-academic deans. He earned an M.Ed. in Student Affairs from Regent University in 2010. Mr. Hassinger is a member of NACE (National Association of Colleges & Employers), PennACE (PA Association of Colleges & Employers), and CPEC (Central Pennsylvania Employment Consortium). He lives in Richfield with his wife Joan, where he is active in his church and has also served as a Lay Speaker and Sunday School Teacher in the local nursing home and surrounding communities. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and collecting baseball cards.
