As part of a regional campaign, her voice and writing skills can be heard on television throughout Tennessee and the surrounding areas as the official song for Ascension St. Thomas Hospital’s commercial titled "I'm Not Going Anywhere." Kelly is also is accomplished oil painter. Never having lessons, this talent comes to her as natural as singing and writing. It all began when she received a painting kit as a gift and decided to "take a stab at it" as she would say. Kelly also has an alter ego - "XOXO." It is believed by many that "laughter is the best medicine" and, the need for such is where the comedic side of Kelly shines. More than a decade ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and during this darkest and scariest time she created "XOXO" to lighten her mood and make others laugh.
