James Ford
James Ford is an award-winning educator and consultant on issues of equity in education. He is Principal Consultant at Filling the Gap Educational Consultants, and the Executive Director of the Center for Racial Equity in Education (CREED). He was appointed by Gov. Cooper in 2018 to serve as a member of the North Carolina State Board of Education, representing the Southwest Region. He was named as North Carolina’s Teacher of the Year in 2014.
