Cherie Brooks

Cherie Brooks is President and CEO. She co-founded the Power52 Foundation with former NFL Player for the Baltimore Ravens and Superbowl Champion Ray Lewis. Power52 brings clean energy access and economic empowerment to historically marginalized communities, serving on the frontlines of the intersection of environmental and economic justice. Cherie’s flagship accomplishments include developing and overseeing the Power52 Institute, the 1st Clean Energy focused Private Career School in the State of Maryland. Power52 Foundation is one of two nonprofits to ever receive approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission to own and operate a private career school in the State’s history. She also developed The Power House, the first solar powered, community-based resiliency hub in the nation. Cherie is an active member of Jack & Jill of America, recently graduated from Goldman Saks Executive Program, and was recently inducted to the Institute for Sustainable Communities CEO Circle. Philanthropy and ministry are her passions, and one of her visions is that Power52 Foundation will become the primary on-ramp to provide solar and renewable energy jobs and address underemployment and climate justice nationally.
