Scott Campbell

Scott Campbell is Head of Media & Telecom Industries North America at SAP. His early career included working with artists like Annie Lennox and Robbie Robertson and then helping the BBC, Virgin Radio and others transform to Digital. Scott won an Innovation award in 95 and in 96 he helped launch Virgin Radio’s website, which became the world’s most listened to Radio Station on the internet for 10+ years. Scott invited CNN to Abbey Road to film Duran Duran conducting the world’s 1st music download and helped George Michael launch the Older album on eCD with a fan club experience including dialup internet, exclusive merchandize and a hosted email account. Thomas Dolby invited Scott to take on a project for Bell Labs that resulted in him relocating to the US in 1998. Scott has helped start a few dotcoms: a Linux music player and a platform to manage music licensing, digitization and formatting. The latter was acquired in 2008 and is now part of the Orchard distribution arm of Sony Music.
