Abe and Suzette Lee

Pastor Abe is the son of a presbyterian minister. Though he came to faith in Christ as Lord, Savior and Friend at a young age, he chose to walk away from his faith during his college and graduate school years. The persistence of a loving friend and mentor brought him back to his faith in Jesus Christ after grad school. He met his wife Suzette in his hometown of Chicago in 2000 and led her to Christ. They married in 2001. After living in San Francisco for 17 years, where Abe served as music ministry director at his church, they returned to Chicago in 2018. Abe is a former social worker who now manages development of software platforms. He loves playing bass and serves as pastor at Church of the Beloved in Chicago. Suzette is a former environmental scientist who now serves full-time as U.S. director of Hands at Work in Africa, a non-governmental organization that partners local churches in rural communities across eight countries in southern Africa with international churches in caring for their most vulnerable neighbors.
