Martin Hess

Martin Hess has over 30 years of experience in the private club industry and the corporate arena. He was one of the youngest tennis professionals certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association. After traveling on the pro tennis satellite circuit, Martin graduated with a Business Degree from the University of Kansas and then began his career with EMI Sports Marketing who he co-founded with Eli Muhl. EMI managed the Pepsi Tennis Academies, one of the largest tennis academies in the Mid-west at that time. Sponsorship clients included Pepsi, Pizza Hut and Wilson Sporting Goods. EMI Sports Marketing also designed the new worldwide Pepsi logo and was honored as one of the “Top Ten Collegiate Entrepreneurs in North America” by ACE in New York. Following EMI, Martin served as the Executive Director for the National Tennis Director’s Association (NTDA), the governing body for the Corporate Tennis Cup, which operated in thirty major markets across the United States. Prior to becoming President of the American Club Association, Martin worked for Tennis Corporation of America (TCA) based out of Chicago, which owns and operates over 35 private clubs across the country. Martin also serves as Executive Director of Business Fellowship, a faith-based ministry serving the business community. He enjoys traveling, hiking, and camping, and spending time with his kids.
