Minister Aronissa Harris
Aronissa Harris accepted her call to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 23 while attending Penn State University. Upon her post-graduate return to Philadelphia in 2002, she joined the St. Phillips’ Baptist Church where was officially licensed in the ministry and has been teaching the Word of God in a very real, honest, and straightforward way. Minister Harris believes that preaching should be practical, transparent and contextual; yet she cautions preachers never to forget how far the Lord has brought them. The Word of God is a SWORD - not a BASEBALL BAT!! YES! Preachers have a responsibility to preach against sin. But like Christ, they are equally responsible to show love to the sinner! Today, still a member of St. Phillips’, Aronissa works in ministry with her husband, Senior Pastor Marvin Harris serving as a Bible Study teacher and the church’s Minister of Music. The Harris’ presently reside in Burlington Township New Jersey and are the proud parents of their blended family of five children - Danielle, Marvin Jr., Jazmine, Katrina, and Randy. Minister Harris’ favorite scripture and the most fitting for her personal experience is Romans 8:28; “And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God, and are called, according to His purpose.”
