Alonzo Brown has had one of entertainment’s most diverse careers. As rapper, record executive, film & television producer, screenwriter and author his imprint on black culture is hard to match. Raised in Harlem, he was classmates with Uptown Records Founder Andre Harrell and formed pioneer rap group, Dr. Jeckyll-and-Mr. Hyde. Alonzo went on to become GM of Cold Chillin Records—overseeing artists, Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, and Roxanne Shante´—Director of Publicity at Warner Brothers Records—guiding the careers of Rick James, Appleonia and Patti Austin—and Vice President at A&M records. Returning to Uptown Records, Alonzo worked with Mary J Blige, Al B Sure! Jodie I, Heavy D and Anthony Hamilton and went to Hollywood as President of Uptown Film and Television. With Harrell, Alonzo developed FOX’s breakthrough series “New York Undercover” and “Motown Live”. Brown then started Brown Communications with successes incl. Nickelodeon children’s show “My Cousin Skeeter'', Universal’s movie “Honey” and “ Judge Greg Mathis'' (in its 24th season). Brown is now launching “Atlanta Dairies”, an audiobook series & motion picture with former Housewives star, Cynthia Bailey. A 5-time “People’s Choice Award” nominee with 5 Emmy Award nominations (2019 winner) and an NAACP Image Award, Alonzo will be a 2023 Hip Hop Hall of Fame inductee. His life’s work has been featured in publications from “Vanity Fair” to “The Source” including Dan Charnes’ “The Big Payback” and “The DEF Jam Book” by Bill Adler
