Lindsey Hanahan

Lindsey Hanahan completed a BA in Dance and pursued a theater career as a dancer/choreographer and producer of musicals in development in NYC until 2020. Looking to get in to grad school for theater she chose to pursue a specialty in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies to improve her chances of teaching at a university level. From personal experience she knew this work was amazing for training for actors, which she wanted to do at the highest level. She completed a 450-hour graduate certification at the Univ of Utah where she had a profound personal transformation, leaving NYC for Denver and becoming a full-time movement therapist. She was hired in the physical medicine dept of an integrative injury center in Denver for 6 years, collaborating with medical and allied health colleagues until it closed in 2007. She then went solo as a movement therapist and Pilates instructor. In Jan. of 2014 she opened MOVE Studios, a center for movement education where people can reconnect to their bodies, whether recovering from an injury, hoping to relieve chronic pain, wanting to improve movement efficiency for athletics, or just wanting to pick up their kids and grandkids easefully for the rest of their lives.
