Ruth Yunker

Ruth Yunker

Ruth Yunker is an author, humorist, memoirist, and at the age of 73, a fledgling model. She had a peripatetic childhood, living on the East and West coasts of the States, and for three years as a teenager, in Brussels, Belgium. She has continued moving as an adult, and as a result, considers herself an amateur sociologist. Which is a wonderful place from which to explore new places. She's written three books. The first two are about surviving Paris, solo, and the third, "Baby I'm the Boss of Me", is about how she is embarking on this next trimester of her life with courage, personal power, and her sense of humor and curiosity intact. She firmly believes that happiness must come from within. And a wonder-filled way to start is to begin noticing all the tiny bits of magic and daily miracles that occur in our daily lives. That first sip of coffee in the morning. Spotting a balloon that has floated away. Not hitting a single red light one beautiful day. Noticing that your pet's breath always smells like roses...to you! She also believes in yoga, water, early to bed, barbecue potato chips, and smiling at one's self every morning in the mirror as vital to maintaining one's health and happiness.
