Stephanie Ellis

Stephanie Ellis is a full-time writer whose career path has included time as a computer programmer, software author, and school librarian. She is an honours graduate, having earned her degree with the Open University whilst working full-time. A life-long reader, she came late to writing, deciding whilst reading the books she had to recommend to young adults that it was something she could do. On a whim, she submitted to a horror story call and subsequently found that the darker side of fiction was her natural home. The appeal of horror in particular is the ability to explore personal morality, whilst highlighting how hypocritical society can be. Her work has been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies and she is the author of the novels, The Five Turns of the Wheel and its sequel, Reborn, and the novellas Bottled and Paused. Her novel, The Woodcutter, is due for release in August. She is an active member of the HWA and can be found at https://stephanieellis.org
