Morgan O’Donnell
Morgan O’Donnell is a primarily self-taught artist and maker based in the Greater Albuquerque area. Starting her employment in the Army, she worked in motor vehicle operation before being recruited to military intelligence. Morgan spent the majority of her career after the military in higher education. After many years of creative writing, she found her words frozen when her mother passed during the pandemic. Art became her way of processing as she experimented with metal embossing, found-object sculpture, papier-mache, and more. Typically she takes an intuitive approach to her art as she explores themes of being a woman, spirituality, nature, and mythology. In 2022 she received a City of Albuquerque UETF Resiliency Residency for her proposal - The Menopause Art project - which uses art to raise awareness about menopause.
