KEVIN BOEHM

DETECTIVE KEVIN BOEHM, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI POLICE DEPARTMENT A lifelong resident of the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area, Det. Boehm grew up in Independence, Missouri and attended Fort Osage High School. He attended Park University, graduating in 1992 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. In May 1993, Det. Boehm began 6 months of training at the Kansas City, Missouri Regional Police Academy. During his time in the patrol division Det. Boehm worked as a district officer, bike patrol officer and Community Oriented Policing officer. In 1998, Det. Boehm was transferred to the Planning and Research unit and in 1999 he became an Instructor at the Regional Police Academy. After over four years at the academy Det. Boehm was assigned to the Central Property Crimes Unit working burglary, stolen auto, stealing, and property damage cases. After two years in the Property Crimes Division Det. Boehm became the aide to Police Chief James D. Corwin. In December 2008 Det. Boehm was named Crime Stoppers Coordinator overseeing a program covering two states, over seven counties, sixty plus law enforcement jurisdictions and an over two million person population base
